Satellar XT5R
Typically, a central unit together with a radio unit is used in a network as a master station or in locations where Ethernet connectivity is needed.
For radio router stations, the central unit is not necessarily required. In these cases, the radio unit can be used alone.
SATELLAR XT 5R is a radio unit that can be used in stations where a standard RS-connection is sufficient. SATELLAR XT 5R can operate as a transparent radio link, essentially replacing a wire with classic RS-232 based protocol. Various network topologies, from simple point-to-point link to a long-range point-to-multipoint system with multiple repeaters are available with SATELLAR XT 5R.
Available model and product order code:
- SATELLAR XT 5R (YF0100), FSK-radio
- SATELLAR XT 5R (YF0200), QAM-radio
SATELLAR XT 5RC radio router provides the most reliable data connectivity for mission-critical applications that require stability, high availability, and long range. It supports both, serial and IP data low latency networking. The remote management is easy with the intuitive user interface NETCO.
SATELLAR XT 5RC is a digital radio router system that consists of different units:
- Central unit (CU)
- Radio unit (RU), SATELLAR XT 5R
Typically, a central unit together with a radio unit is used in a network as a master station or in locations where Ethernet connectivity is needed. For radio router stations, the central unit is not necessarily required. In these cases, the radio unit can be used alone.
The SATELLAR XT 5RC has now more IP features; Redundant routing, VRRP (RFC 5798), VLAN (IEEE 802.1Q), QoS and Firewall for additional security. Faster data transfer (FSK-radio: 230 kbps@150 kHz / QAM-radio: 121 kbps@25 kHz) for long range, low latency connection is also introduced with this release. SATELLAR’s range can be tens of kilometers and can be extended to hundreds of kilometers with repeater functionality.
Redundant routing monitors the path to intended destinations and incase of path failure it automatically switches to an alternative route. Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP) support provides seamless hot-standby switchovers to redundant SATELLAR or other VRRP supporting network device. Together redundant routing and VRRP provide high-available and reliable communication.
VLAN support expands SATELLAR’s easy integration into even more complex infrastructures. Quality of Service (QoS) enables bandwidth load balancing and sharing between different types of data traffic. Firewall increases security by blocking harmful or unnecessary traffic.
